Cloud 11, Asia’s leading hub for content creators developed by Thailand’s leading property developer MQDC, has won 4 international design awards: Winner in “Mixed-Use Concept” and “Commercial Concept” at 14th “Rethinking The Future” awards, Platinum Winner in “Property Development - Mixed-Use Project” at Outstanding Property Award London (OPAL) 2022, and Silver Winner in “Commercial Building” at 16th International Design Award (IDA).

All 4 awards come from international design contests that honor property projects with outstanding design, functionality, as well as creative and sustainable use of innovations for better quality of life and positive social impacts.

Mr. Onza Janyaprasert, Project Director of Cloud 11, said: “We are proud and honored to see Cloud 11 win international recognition. These 4 prestigious awards are testament to Cloud 11’s vision and commitment to serving as the most comprehensive ecosystem for content creation and fulfilling creators’ lifestyles.

“Because we pay attention to detail, Cloud 11 design reflects its building-user centricity, environmental care, and efforts to enhance the lives of all–in line with MQDC’s ‘For All Well-Being’ philosophy, which has guided our business operations and project development.”

Through a collaboration between the world-renowned Norwegian design studio Snøhetta and Thailand’s leading architect A49 (Architects 49 Limited), Cloud 11’s design seamlessly integrates a global view of inclusive design with Thailand’s local culture and context. Cloud 11 is positioned as a space that will truly “empower creators”, giving inspiration, fostering knowledge, and offering growth opportunities.

This remarkable mixed-use project will feature many zones to facilitate content creation and enhance the lives of creators and the young generation. Creative Office & Studio Space will be open round-the-clock in support of creators’ 24/7 work styles, while the Hybrid Retail will be an omnichannel launchpad for creators’ brands. Cloud 11 will include a well-known smart hotel, YOTEL, as well as another new world-class lifestyle hotel. Educational institutes and creator academies will also be based at Cloud 11 to incubate content-creation talents. The cultural zone, meanwhile, will have an esports arena and a black box theater for emerging creators. All these zones of Cloud 11 will be connected by Bangkok’s largest rooftop park, accessible to both creators and the public.

Cloud 11 has received several international design awards because it promises not just functionality but also sustainnovation. Its building, for example, is designed to preserve all existing trees on the site. Taking into consideration the natural ventilation and self-shading, Cloud 11’s green space will therefore be able to filter out PM2.5 and maximize usable outdoor hours for all public spaces.

Cloud 11 is also committed to net-zero emissions. Guided by this commitment, it has integrated green technologies. Solar cells will be installed to generate solar power. A central utility plant (CUP) will operate with a chilled water network to lower heat across the project. Cloud 11’s sustainnovations are designed to curb environmental impacts, support people’s flexible work 24 hours a day, and lower their expenses.

As Cloud 11 design also focuses on solving social problems and creating public benefits, it includes not just a large rooftop park but also many pocket parks. Its wastewater management system promises to improve water quality in the canal that flows past its facilities. The Canal Walk will also be developed as a pedestrian-friendly street for locals to play their trade, which in turn will help stimulate the local economy.

“Cloud 11 aims not only to serve as Asia’s largest hub for content creators and elevate the Thai entertainment industry to an international level. It also intends to deliver public benefits especially to local communities. We therefore started developing Cloud 11 by conducting research to identify the needs of creators as well as communities. Backed by research, Cloud 11 design answers perfectly to the needs of everyone because it is especially prepared to solve problems and generate benefits.

“Today, design awards that are conferred on Cloud 11 underline its exceptional space-management design quality, functionality, and use of sustainnovations for a better environment and enhanced quality of life on a sustainable basis. These awards therefore will definitely increase tenants’ and partners’ confidence in Cloud 11,” Mr. Onza said.

Cloud 11 spans over 27 rai (10.5 acre) of land on Sukhumvit Road near BTS Udom Suk station. With its building construction ongoing, Cloud 11 is set to open in Q4/2024. Cloud 11’s creative office and retail spaces are now available for reservation. Interested companies and organizations can get more information from www.cloud11bangkok.com.
